Guidelines for Food stalls

All Whitefield Rising events aim at conducting garbage/ litter free event the eco-friendly way.

We would like to showcase that Reduce and Reuse concept can be adopted without compromising the food enjoyment part. By doing this, we are contributing to a better place for us all. So in line with this we request you to follow the guidelines drafted below strictly for the dish you prepare and serve.

Crowd Expected: N people from all walks of life. The prices have to be affordable by all. Minimum number of goodies N to maximum number of your choice.

Cakes and bakes: No Liners for the bakes No Dripping / too soggy bakes No disposable spoons to be offered No tissues allowed If possible kindly give options for Egg as well as Eggless as what you are planning to do Price: Multiples of 10 not exceeding Rs 50.

Chocolates: No glitter wrapping No Takeaways. Price: Multiples of 10 not exceeding Rs 50.

Beverages: Only to be served in Reusable tumblers Water in a drum would be provided for cleaning hygienically and reusing the containers. Cleaner to be arranged by the stall person. No tissues allowed No provision available for induction stove. Price: Multiples of 10 Not Exceeding Rs 20

Snacks/Rice/dessert: Only to be served in banana leaf or Leaf donna No sambhar/liquid Chutneys Only thick chutneys/sabji/bhaji/kurma as sidedish No Sauce sachets to be given but sauce from vendor’s bottle /container to be poured on to the customer’s leaf/donna directly No disposable spoons to be offered No tissues allowed No provision available for induction stove. Price: Multiples of 10 not exceeding Rs 50. Keep your stall space clean: Would request to keep your counter clean. No dustbins to be provided for each stall. Only common ones outside. After the event kindly take back your things safely. No pamphlets to be distributed. Visiting cards can be given.

Food: Food has to be fresh, made the same day and done with Hygiene. No old oils to be reused. No expired veggies/ items to be used. Maintaining quality must.

Stall: 1 Table of 2 feet *8 feet and 2 chairs would be given 2. Table would be shared with another person depending the number of items you are planning to sell. 2. The stalls would have a roof and half wall at the background. 3. No partition between the stalls 4. Few Hand wash stations will be there behind the food stall. 5. Bring your items in reusable containers trying to leave home with the message of No Trash No Litter. 6. Use of disposable plastics, thermocol, paper plates, paper cups, Styrofoam, non woven polypropylene and other such banned items will not be permitted. Vendors would not be permitted to sell when found to break the rules.
